Jets' Siemian to miss rest of season with ankle injury

New York Jets head coach Adam Gase announced Tuesday that quarterback Trevor Siemian will miss the rest of the season due to an ankle injury suffered on Monday Night Football versus the Cleveland Browns, according to SNY's Ralph Vacchiano.
Siemian will require surgery to repair ligament damage but doesn't have any broken bones, Gase said.
The 27-year-old started Week 2 in place of Sam Darnold, who's battling mono. Siemian lasted three passes before going down.
Third-stringer Luke Falk will take over starting duties with Siemian unavailable while the Jets will look to acquire another pivot to back him up.
