"Check your video drivers" message with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti
by Albertaman from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4QNBV)
I am running Arch Linux (Cinnamon) with a Nvidia Geforce GTX 1660 TI video card. I have just started getting the following message:
"Check your video drivers. Your system is currently running without hardware acceleration. You may experience poor performance and high CPU usage."
This message comes up on boot.
I am running the LTS kernel with the Nvidia LTS software.
All of the posts I've read relate to correcting the problem with the operating system running inside a VM. Never having had this problem I am at a loss of how to proceed to correct the problem.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
