In addition to a concussion suffered on a hard fall in Monday night's game, Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku has a wrist injury that could require surgery, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports, citing a source.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that the injury is a broken wrist.

Njoku is seeking other medical opinions before determining whether he'll need to go under the knife.

The third-year pro is an important part of the Browns' offense. He posted career highs in receptions (56) and yards (639) in 2018 and added four touchdowns. Njoku had four catches for 37 yards and a touchdown in the Browns' season-opening loss to the Tennessee Titans.

The Browns also have Pharaoh Brown, Demetrius Harris, and Ricky Seals-Jones at tight end.
