Antonio Brown's time with the New England Patriots ended after just 11 days, but the embattled wide receiver is already looking to get back on the field.

Brown's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, tweeted Friday that his client intends to continue his NFL career and "hopes to play for another team soon" following his release by the Patriots.

It's unfortunate things didn't work out with the Patriots. But Antonio is healthy and is looking forward to his next opportunity in the NFL. He wants to play the game he loves and he hopes to play for another team soon.

Brown is free to sign with any team, but it remains to be seen whether he will get another chance in the league.

ESPN's Adam Schefter said Friday that it's likely teams will wait until the NFL has finished its investigation into whether Brown violated the league's personal conduct policy.

NFL now can conduct its investigation of Antonio Brown without any time pressure. It's hard to imagine another team would attempt to get in the way of that. So Brown's NFL career is on pause and possibly could even be over.

On Thursday, a woman who alleged that Brown made an unwanted sexual advance toward her in 2017 said she received "intimidating" texts from the receiver on Wednesday night.

The unnamed artist's lawyer notified the NFL of the texts, and the league is looking into the matter, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

On Monday, the NFL met with Brown's other accuser, Britney Taylor, as it looks into allegations of rape from a federal lawsuit filed last week.

The league announced Friday that it wouldn't be "appropriate" to place Brown on the commissioner's exempt list as long as he's a free agent and the investigation is ongoing.
