Cannot connect to server on same intranet

I am using the latest Raspbian(Debian based) on my server stockton.co.za(196.32.102.29) and when I attempt to browse to it from my laptop connected to the same router via WiFi I fail to succeed. I get
Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at 196.32.102.29.
The same thing applies if I use the DNS
Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at stockton.co.za.
Please tell me why this happens.
