Amid reports that a handful of New England Patriots players privately voiced displeasure with the team's decision to release receiver Antonio Brown, Tom Brady refused to share his thoughts on the situation.

"I do have a lot of personal feelings, none of which I really care to share," Brady told reporters following New England's Week 3 win over the New York Jets, according to Phil Perry of NBC Sports Boston. "That's about it. It's a difficult situation. That's kinda how I feel."

Appearing on "The Greg Hill Show" on Monday, Brady didn't address the Brown situation directly but did discuss his philosophy on team bonding.

"There's a lot of human elements," he said after being asked about Brown, according to ESPN's Mike Reiss. "As a player, as a person, I care deeply about my teammates. I want everyone to be the best they can possibly be. From the day I started with this team, even back in college, you try to provide leadership, and you try to care for people ... I've had a lot of teammates over the years, so you invest - not just your head, but your heart. You invest your soul.

"That's what makes a great team. That's what makes a great brotherhood."

Some players in the Patriots' locker room reportedly felt Brown made a positive impression during his 11-day tenure with the club.

The decision to cut ties with the volatile receiver, however, came from owner Robert Kraft after intimidating text messages from Brown to a woman who accused him of sexual misconduct came to light.

"I think we're in a culture where we want to cast judgment so quickly on people," Brady said. "We want to disparage people so quickly. And it just speaks to me that a lot of people are probably hurting, because when you're not feeling great, you want other people to know that. I think it becomes very emotional.

"Again, it's a tough life. Life is not easy. Football is not easy. Evolving and growing as people is not an easy thing ... We all go through different aspects of our life and we try to do the best we can do."
