TPLink AC600 driver installation

Dear ZenWalkers:
I'm trying to install on my up-to-date ZW system a tp-link AC600 Mini Wireless USB adaptor, so far with no success as the manufacturer has developed -- surprise surprise -- no driver (u. https://tinyurl.com/y23uckoa) with Linux support.
I've tried a few solutions proposed around the Internet -- notably here (u. https://tinyurl.com/yxt4e53e), here (u. https://tinyurl.com/y3tyrvwa) and here (u. https://tinyurl.com/y5ze2yxt) -- but none would work, either because of errors during compilation or my limited understanding of kernel module activation.
Has any of you experienced the same issue, and hopefully found a solution? I append below the list of my system's USB buses:
