Denver Broncos linebacker Bradley Chubb suffered a torn ACL in Week 4 and will be out for the remainder of the 2019 season, head coach Vic Fangio announced Monday, according to The Athletic's Nicki Jhabvala.

Chubb briefly left the Broncos' matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars with a cramp but returned and suffered the knee injury, with which he finished the game, added Jhabvala.

The Broncos' 2018 first-round pick burst onto the scene in his rookie year with 12 sacks playing opposite All-Pro pass-rusher Von Miller, who contributed 14.5 quarterback take-downs. Their combined number of 26.5 sacks was the most for any pass-rushing duo in the league last season.

However, the North Carolina State product contributed just one sack and one forced fumble this season before the injury.

Fangio said the team will replace Chubb through a committee instead of a one-man approach, according to Jhabvala. Outside linebackers Malik Reed and Justin Hollins are next on the depth chart while defensive end Derek Wolfe figures to see more pass-rushing snaps, too.
