Russell Wilson is a Super Bowl champion and five-time Pro Bowler, but on Thursday night, he may have put together his finest performance yet.

Stats will show Wilson completed 17 of 23 passes for 268 yards and four touchdowns, and he nearly recorded a perfect passer rating in the Seattle Seahawks' thrilling 30-29 victory over the rival Los Angeles Rams. Not included in the scoresheet were the number of impressive throws and improvisations Wilson made, even in the face of a furious L.A. pass rush, to lead Seattle to victory.

"I thought Russell played one of the best games I've ever seen him play," head coach Pete Carroll said postgame.

"I just thought Russ stole the show tonight as he did so much, and on top of what he has done to start the season off in great fashion. So I'm really fired up for him and our team, and our guys are really excited to be able to cheer for him in that way tonight."

Wilson has been on another level to start the 2019 season. He owns a 73% completion percentage, has thrown for more than 1,400 yards, and has tossed 12 touchdown passes to zero interceptions.

He's thrust himself into early MVP conversation and knows his performance against the Rams was clutch.

"I left it all out on the field. Coach and I were just talking about that. It was one of the best, I think," Wilson said.
