Hello

Hi. I'm pretty sure I've had an account here, but my current emails don't register.
Still, I'm always new to Linux. I first discovered Red Hat in 1999 and have been making failed attempts to ditch Microsoft since. I am > < this close to success now!
I haven't seriously tried since I almost had a custom Slackware desktop setup built about 10 years ago. I dislike Ubuntu (though I like the ease it gives for setting up and whatnot, but it always feels like it's insulting my intelligence with it's large, happy icons, and clunky-feeling apt-get package manager). I dabbled with Fedora and Debian, and just kept trying to rebuild Slack to my liking. I have Ubuntu dual-booting on my Surface Pro 3 at the moment. I personally prefer minimal everything from the start. (Hence, my attempts at Slackware, my dislike of Ubuntu, etc.)
I'm currently wrassling with Manjaro on my desktop. Dual Nvidia gpus don't play well <insert video of Linus Torvald flipping off Nvidia here>. But that's not what re-brought me here. Found a solution to an alt-tab issue, and I swear I've been here before, or maybe my questions were always answered well enough that I never had to create an account... :D But yeah, I adore Manjaro. I tried backing up and building my own Arch option, but I find I don't have enough time right now (or patience) to whittle through online tutorials that don't completely work.
So long story short, hi.
(Short story long, anything by Dickens.)
