Filtering items in IceWM main menu during generation?

I'm setting up IceWM for the first time and was wondering if there's a way to filter programs that get added to the main menu when icewm-xdg-menu is run.
I have Gnome and KDE installed as well, and the generated menu is including programs from both, so I get a lot of duplicates that I'd like to filter out. Basically I'd like to either have it skip all the gnome programs or skip all the KDE programs so I don't have 2 text editors, 2 file managers, etc.
Anyone know if this is possible or how to do it?
