Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky was back throwing passes on the practice field just two weeks after suffering a shoulder injury.

Trubisky exited the Bears' Week 4 game after falling awkwardly on his non-throwing shoulder. While the injury appeared serious, it was not thought to be season-ending.

Bears head coach Matt Nagy said Trubisky looked good throwing the football 15 days after the initial injury and left the door open for the quarterback to play Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.

"His situation is just seeing exactly where he's at with pain. All of us collaborating to see where he is so that we can make a decision as to which way we want to go for this week, if he's ready or if he's not ready," Nagy said Monday.

Backup quarterback Chase Daniel stepped in for Trubisky and led the Bears to a Week 4 win over the Minnesota Vikings before taking a loss in Week 5 against the Oakland Raiders. Chicago was on a bye this past weekend.
