Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota vowed to bounce back after learning he's being replaced as the starting quarterback by Ryan Tannehill for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers, ESPN's Turron Davenport reports.

"Until the day that I die, I'm going to believe I gave it all I got," Mariota said to reporters. "No matter what, I can learn and grow from this situation. This isn't going to bring me down. This isn't going to end my career."

Head coach Mike Vrabel made the announcement Wednesday but said he would gauge the quarterback situation on a weekly basis.

Mariota is in the final year of his contract with the Titans. The demotion could signal his time in Tennessee is drawing to a close.

The Titans have scored just seven points in their past two games. Mariota went 7-for-18 for 63 yards and two interceptions before he was replaced by Tannehill in a 16-0 loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday.

"I had an opportunity to play but I didn't make the most of it. I am going to learn and grow from it."
