I wish to become a Linux Guru.

I wish to become a Linux Guru. I realize to accomplish this it will take time and practice, but need a bit of 'nudging' to keep things going. My questions are how can I get more practice, where to get started(after I created my 'Lab)'? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
