problem with gio on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS

I have two Volume Ggroups activated on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. "sys_vol" contains folders "root" and "home" whereas "data_vol" contains just one volume "data".

I have recently encountered a problem with "gio" when I try to "trash" one of the files in "dat_vol-data" from command line. Essentially gio complains: "Unable to find or create wastebasket directory for /path/to/a/file". The manual is not very explicit about it and googling did not help. The best match I could find was here:

but I already have a folder Trahs in correct location. I tested the folders "<profile>/.local/share/Trash/{files,info}" and all existed with proper permissions 700. "gio" only works with the same volume as where Trash is located. It does not work with different volumes.

Is there any way to solve that?latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=Je7s8FtUzZ0:f1taxDe842s:F7zBnMy latest?i=Je7s8FtUzZ0:f1taxDe842s:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=Je7s8FtUzZ0:f1taxDe842s:gIN9vFwJe7s8FtUzZ0
