Report: Jets shopping Robby Anderson ahead of trade deadline
The New York Jets are telling teams that wide receiver Robby Anderson is on the trade block for the right price as they attempt to acquire 2020 draft capital, sources told Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News.
New York entertained dealing Anderson prior to last year's trade deadline, Mehta adds. The Philadelphia Eagles reportedly expressed interest in the speedy wideout at the time, but the Jets chose not to trade him.
Anderson is currently making $3.1 million on his restricted free-agent tender. He's scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent in 2020.
A productive deep threat, Anderson led the Jets in receiving yards during each of the past two campaigns and paced the team with 50 receptions in 2018. He's accumulated 17 catches for 266 yards and one touchdown through the first six games of this season.
The NFL's trade deadline is set for Oct. 29 at 4 p.m. ET.
