A parrot has been taken into custody in northern Brazil following a police raid targeting crack dealers.

Canuck became a media celebrity in 2016 after he stole a knife from a Vancouver crime scene.

Last year, he received more than 300,000 votes to win CBC's online poll to become Metro Vancouver's Unofficial Ambassador.

Day 12 of #inktober features more #birdcrimes! This lovebird took part in a robbery, was arrested, and then given a tiny sensor bar to protect its identity when media began covering the story.

Thinking about how the Dutch police arrested a bird for taking part in a robbery, put it in a jail cell with bread and water & when the media reported on it they put a little black bar over the face to protect its identity pic.twitter.com/2ly0zsoAw6
