The Tampa Bay Lightning have traded goaltender Louis Domingue to the New Jersey Devils for a conditional seventh-round pick, the team announced Friday.

Tampa Bay will receive New Jersey's seventh-round selection in 2021 if Domingue plays seven games or one playoff contest for the Devils this season, or if he's traded before the 2020 draft.

Domingue went 21-5-0 with the Lightning last season, sporting a .908 save percentage and a 2.88 goals-against average. He has one year remaining on his contract carrying a $1.15-million cap hit.

The 27-year-old has played exclusively in the AHL this campaign after Tampa Bay signed veteran Curtis McElhinney in free agency to back up Andrei Vasilevskiy.

The Devils' tandem of MacKenzie Blackwood and Cory Schneider have combined for a disappointing .859 save percentage and a 3.96 goals-against average this season entering Friday.
