The Indianapolis Colts are unsure of quarterback Jacoby Brissett's status for Week 10 after an MRI confirmed he suffered a sprained MCL in Sunday's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

"I was a little encouraged, but we'll just see how it goes," head coach Frank Reich told reporters Monday, via The Athletic's Stephen Holder.

Brissett sat out most of Week 9 after injuring his knee early in the second quarter. Backup Brian Hoyer tossed three touchdowns in relief, but it wasn't enough as the Colts fell on the road in Pittsburgh.

Indianapolis hosts the Miami Dolphins in six days.

"We'll see," Brissett responded when asked about his pending availability.

Brissett has thrown for 1,649 yards with 14 touchdowns and three interceptions over eight games for the 5-3 Colts.
