Debian Password

Hi
I am very new to Linux and do not know much at all but I love to use Linux CNC.
Recently, (This week) I down loaded live cd from linux cnc web site operating system
is Debian.
I tried live cd and it works perfect without any problem but I can not installed Debian
because every time the root password in not accepting.
I tried so many passwords with many characters so many times by installing from live cd but every time pass word is not correct so I failed to install the programme.
Furthermore, I reset root password according to instruction in the Debian web site.
Please can some one help me to get this install in my computer.
