Despite his team's third straight loss in Week 9 to the Miami Dolphins, New York Jets owner Christopher Johnson is expected to remain patient with head coach Adam Gase, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Gase may be on the hot seat with his squad sitting 1-7, but the team's ownership is not yet inclined to make a head-coaching change, sources told Schefter.

The Jets reportedly believe the team's situation will sort itself out, especially considering Gase and new general manager Joe Douglas have only worked together for five months without a full offseason.

New York ranks last in scoring offense and total offense in 2019, but it appears the Jets want to judge Gase on a larger body of work.

A fan-sponsored plane with a banner reading, "Fire Adam Gase" was spotted flying over New York City on Friday.

Gang Green hired Gase this past January in the hopes he could elevate the play of second-year quarterback Sam Darnold and the offense. The 41-year-old spent three seasons in Miami prior to joining the Jets.
