Multiple kernels, nvidia, and dkms
by mlangdn from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4TZJC)
If I have multiple kernels on my system (only two, the generic and a custom kernel), can dkms be used?
What I'm asking is,
1. If I install the nvidia driver with the --dkms option, then, how do I build a kernel module for the custom kernel?
2. Can I use the --dkms option with -K -k?
3. Will the nvidia kernel rebuild upon reboot for either kernel, depending on which was upgraded?
