Successive email notifications while not reading explicitely the related threads on LQ

There seems to be a discrepancy about LQ email notifications recently.
Indeed, in each of these notifications, it's written:

There may also be other replies, but you will not receive any more notifications until you visit the forum again.

However, now I'm receiving successive email notifications regarding a same thread even if I've not gone on LQ to read the new posts of this thread.

NB: This behavior happens for multiple threads. It's not exclusive to one thread.
