Report: Ravens add bulk to D-line, sign Peko, Ellis
The Baltimore Ravens made a couple of moves Tuesday to fortify their defensive line.
The Ravens signed veteran nose tackle Domata Peko to a $1-million deal for the remainder of the season, reports NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. The move came after the team also added defensive tackle Justin Ellis, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Combined, the two bring 18 years of NFL experience.
In corresponding moves, the Ravens cut corner Cyrus Jones and placed defensive lineman Daylon Mack on IR with a knee injury, according to Pelissero.
Peko spent the past two seasons with the Denver Broncos. He played in all 16 games in 2018 and recorded 31 total tackles and half a sack. Ellis played in six games with the Oakland Raiders in 2018, putting up seven total tackles.
