Enunwa blasts Jets after being fined while on IR
Veteran wide receiver Quincy Enunwa tweeted his displeasure with the New York Jets on Thursday after the team fined him nearly $28,000 for missing two treatment sessions.
Enunwa is currently on injured reserve with a neck injury. He claims he failed to attend the sessions because he was dealing with an emergency at home and taking his wife out for a Veteran's Day lunch.
Given everything that's going on around the team I thought this could've been handled so many different ways. I've spent my time with the team trying to build myself up to be dependable and hardworking so this shit hurts. pic.twitter.com/xEUZV69rAJ

I missed those two days, because I took my VETERAN wife out for Veterans Day lunch and because I had to handle an emergency in my house. I let the team know this after the fact, and yes, I should have told them beforehand, but I feel like this was excessive.

The receiver claimed he shouldn't have to be in the building to be "reminded every day of what I can't do" after a doctor only gave him a 50% chance to continue playing because the injury is the second of his career.
This shit feels like punishment already and then they FINE me the max. And then want me to continue to do my rehab there and IF I get healthy they want me to then play for them after.

This isn't the first incident between the Jets and an injured player. Veteran guard Kelechi Osemele is considering legal action against team doctors over the handling of his shoulder injury. New York and Osemele disagreed on the severity of the shoulder issue, and the franchise fined him nearly $580,000 for detrimental conduct before releasing him in late October.
Earlier in November, backup quarterback Luke Falk reportedly filed a grievance against the Jets after the team didn't list him on the injury report prior to his final start or during the week before his release.
