So I've been getting back into Linux use as a desktop and been trying out or going to be trying out some different programs. Here is a kind of my list so far...
File sharing: Samba
Internet: Firefox
Office: LibreOffice (not a huge office user anyways, but its there if I need it)
Music recording: Ardour, Audacity, Hydrogen, Rakarrack, Guitarix... Haven't had a chance to try these yet but going to dabble with them on my laptop. Would like to fix up a nice desktop down the road for music recording and will probably install Ubuntu Studio
Photo Editing: GIMP
Media player: VLC
Text editor: nano
Video editing: OpenShot and OBS Studio... I do YouTube videos and hoping these programs will help with the transition to Linux desktop.
I think that covers it. I was wondering too if others here wanted to share some software you all use and love. Most of mine are well known, but if you have some not so well known awesome apps to check out, I and maybe some others would love to hear about them. Whether they are GUI apps or even cool command line utilities... Doesn't matter.
