Chicago Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky is considered day-to-day with the hip pointer he suffered in Sunday's loss to the Los Angeles Rams, head coach Matt Nagy said Wednesday.

Nagy is hopeful his starting pivot will practice Wednesday and be available for Sunday's game against the New York Giants.

"We want him to be out there as the starter. I hope that's the case," the bench boss said.

Nagy insisted Monday that pulling Trubisky in the closing minutes of the loss had "zero to do with his play." The former No. 2 pick finished the game 24-for-43 for 190 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.

Trubisky spoke positively about his hip after following Nagy to the podium on Wednesday.

"It feels a lot better. Day and night almost," the QB said.
