City says 24 billion litres of sewage and runoff leaked into Chedoke Creek

Residents learned of the leak which was allowing untreated wastewater to flow into the creek in July 2018, when the city says staff discovered it. But an investigation revealed the gate, which was supposed to be fully closed, had been left about five per cent open on Jan. 28, 2014.
