Script pipping to tee doesn't keep colors

Hello

I have a bash script and when i run it i can see some green or red lines as an output but when i try to create a log file by piping to tee:

Code:/update/update.sh 2>&1 | tee -a log.txti am losing the output colors :(

Any ideas how can i preserve colors?
