Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is among the front-runners for the MVP award with nearly two-thirds of the regular season in the books, but he's focused solely on winning games and getting his 6-4 team into the playoffs.

"No. Not at all. Not at all," Prescott said when asked if the award means anything to him, according to Michael Gehlen of The Dallas Morning News. "One, it's crazy early, right? And two, I mean as I've talked about, it's wins. The only thing I care about is wins.

"So if that means I'm the winningest quarterback in the league, sure, I'll want it. But until it means that, I don't care. It's something cool, right? But I want to win games, and that's the most important thing to me."

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (3-2) is the betting favorite to take home the league's top honor, but Seattle Seahawks signal-caller Russell Wilson (7-4) and Prescott (7-1) are nipping at his heels.

Prescott leads the league in passing yards through 11 weeks and sits second in ESPN's QBR metric behind Wilson. His 21 touchdown passes are already just two shy of his career high that he set during his rookie season.

However, the Ravens and Seahawks have each won two more games than the Cowboys have, and team records are usually a big factor in deciding who wins the award.

The last six MVP winners - all of whom were quarterbacks - have averaged 12.6 wins, so Prescott will likely need to get Dallas on a roll to beat out Wilson and Jackson, starting with a clash with the New England Patriots on Sunday.
