Seattle Seahawks defensive end Jadeveon Clowney will be a game-time decision for Sunday's contest against the Philadelphia Eagles due to a hip injury, head coach Pete Carroll announced Friday, according to ESPN's Brady Henderson.

Carroll said Clowney was away from the team Friday while getting the injury assessed after sitting out all three practices this week.

The pass-rusher suffered the injury during his dominant performance last Monday against the San Francisco 49ers, Carroll added.

Clowney terrorized Jimmy Garoppolo throughout Seattle's 27-24 overtime win that helped the Seahawks close the gap in the NFC West, racking up one sack, five quarterback hits, and a forced fumble.

Even with the addition of Clowney through a trade with the Houston Texans in September, the Seahawks consistently struggled to pressure the passer prior to the game against San Francisco.

Seattle is averaging just two sacks per game (tied for 27th in the league), and Clowney and linebacker Mychal Kendricks' three sacks each lead the team.
