[SOLVED] Thunderbird Mail will retrieve emails but fails at sending them
by Michael Piziak from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4VJV7)
My desktop system crashed and I reinstalled it - but that's another story.
Thunderbird works fine on my laptop, so I copied the ".thunderbird" file from my laptop to the home folder of my reinstalled desktop.
Thunderbird will retrieve emails with no problem. However, when sending emails, it fails. I get the message:
"Sending of the message failed.
The message could not be sent using Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.suddenlink.net for an unknown reason. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again."
