Screen orientation changing on screen power on
by Ghostwheel from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4VMRV)
OS: CentOS 7.7
I have set up some systems as media players (static images served as web pages using chromium in kiosk mode). They are set in a portrait orientation. The media boxes stay on all the time and the screens (1080p TVs of various models) are turned off at night, then turned back on in the morning.
On some of the screens I am having an issue where when it is turned on the orientation will shift from portrait to landscape.
Is there a way to detect when the monitor is turned on and have it kick off a script?
I have been unable to find any method that actually works.
Any help would be appreciated!
