The Oakland Raiders took a 31-point loss on the chin Sunday. Afterward, Derek Carr warned about putting forth a similar effort against the explosive Kansas City Chiefs in Week 13.

"We got our face kicked in a little bit," the quarterback said, according to The Athletic's Vic Tafur. "You try and look forward and hopefully, it wakes everybody up. ... We better show up (in Kansas City) or they're going to beat us by 50."

The Raiders traveled across the country to face the lowly New York Jets, looking for a win that would've catapulted them into a tie for first place in the AFC West. Instead, they were on the wrong end of a 34-3 domination.

"We didn't show up and we got our asses kicked," defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins said.

The Raiders entered Sunday's matchup on a three-game winning streak, sparking talk in Oakland about making the playoffs for the first time since 2016. They accomplished nothing versus the Jets, though, with all three phases struggling to generate any sort of momentum.

"As frustrating as (this loss) is, let's be honest, these six games that we've won, no one thought we could do that with who we have," Carr said. "We're still a good football team, but it is what it is. We're still building that foundation."

The Raiders will take a 6-5 record into their pivotal matchup with the Chiefs, who sport a 7-4 mark.
