Former Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson has emerged as a strong candidate for Arizona State's vacant offensive coordinator job, a source told Bruce Feldman of The Athletic.

Sun Devils head coach Herm Edwards announced major changes to his offensive staff on Sunday. Edwards said coordinator Rob Likens, wide receivers coach Charlie Fisher, and tight ends coach Donnie Yantis wouldn't be returning next year.

Jackson has been out of work since being fired in the midst of his third season with the Browns in October 2018. He finished his Cleveland tenure with a 3-36-1 record, including an 0-16 campaign in 2017.

The 54-year-old has plenty of experience as an offensive coordinator. Jackson held the position for the Cincinnati Bengals for two seasons before joining the Browns; he also previously served as the offensive coordinator for the Oakland Raiders, Atlanta Falcons, and Washington Redskins.

The Sun Devils beat Arizona 24-14 on Saturday night to finish the regular season 7-5 for the second straight campaign.
