Remove mwifiex driver on RHEL7?

Hi,

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1716992

CVE-2019-10126 is a problem with a buffer overflow in the mwifiex driver. My question is, why do I need this driver installed in my kernel at all anyway? Rather than patching the driver, can it be removed altogether? How would I go about doing that safely?
