Throughput tests?

I'm getting very slow speeds from mega.nz, who are holding my data in European data centres.
In trying to trace this, I thought of doing a 'traceroute' to mega.nz, but that obviously won't work if my data is being held remotely. They've given me a set of instructions using speedtest.net, but that's end to end, and not diagnostic. What's worse is that I can only access stuff via some javascript GUI, and not via a command line.
Is there a way of speed testing the various routing hops to find what's slowing me down? Mega insists they're not limiting bandwidth, I've a fairly fast d/l speed, but I'm only getting either side of 1Mbps, usually under it, and sometimes massively under it.
