schroot and GUI
by wpuehl from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4WGR4)
Hello,
maybe, this is the wrong Forum, but I'm posting here the first time,
regarding schroot::
I want to use the latest Version of aqbanking in kmymoney (in Debian) and installed the sid Version of Debian in a schroot environment.
Works well with text-version of programms.
But here is what I get, when I start a X-Based Progamm
----------------snip-------------------------------------
wp@isabella:~$ xhost +
access control disabled, clients can connect from any host
wp@isabella:~$ sudo schroot -s sid kmymoney
qt.qpa.xcb: could not connect to display
qt.qpa.plugin: Could not load the Qt platform plugin "xcb" in "" even though it was found.
This application failed to start because no Qt platform plugin could be initialized. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.
Available platform plugins are: eglfs, linuxfb, minimal, minimalegl, offscreen, vnc, wayland-egl, wayland, wayland-xcomposite-egl, wayland-xcomposite-glx, xcb.
------------------------------------------------------
I did install xcb, okay,
but something went wrong.
I'm using xfce as window-manager
Thanks in forward
Wolfgang
