I have been using DVB-S2 PCI card for several years
Code:lspci -v
05:01.0 Multimedia controller: Twinhan Technology Co. Ltd Mantis DTV PCI Bridge Controller [Ver 1.0] (rev 01)
Subsystem: Device 1ae4:0003
Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 64, IRQ 19
Memory at e9100000 (32-bit, prefetchable) [size=4K]
Kernel driver in use: MantisEverything works perfectly on Linux Mint 17. Support for linux mint was discontinued in April 2019. I want to switch to linux mint 19.
I tried to install linux mint 19. Linux mint sees DVB-S2 card, but the video very freezes. The video is not watchable. I also tried to install MX linux 19, Debian9, 10, Ubuntu 18.04 and it's very freezing in every distribution.
I'm afraid the problem will be in the drivers. Would it be possible to extract drivers from linux mint 17 and use them in linux mint 19?
Or can you suggest another solution?
very thx
