The Miami Dolphins signed wide receiver DeVante Parker to a four-year contract extension, the team announced Friday.

The new deal is reportedly worth $40 million, including $21.5 million in guarantees with an $8-million signing bonus, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

"It's always been my desire to keep DeVante as a member of the Dolphins family," Parker's agent said, per Rapoport.

Parker recorded a video about his decision to stay in Miami until the 2023 season:

A first-round pick in 2015, the 26-year-old had signed a new two-year contract with the AFC East club in March. He's posted his best professional campaign in 2019, leading the Dolphins in receptions (55), yards (882), and touchdowns (six) through 13 games.

Jarvis Landry was the last Dolphin to eclipse 1,000 receiving yards in a season (2016), a mark Parker has a chance to top with three games remaining.

The 3-10 Dolphins will try to bounce back against the New York Giants on Sunday after a divisional loss to the New York Jets in Week 14.
