Philadelphia Flyers forward Joel Farabee was tossed from Sunday's game against the Winnipeg Jets for a questionable check on Mathieu Perreault.

Officials assessed Farabee a five-minute interference major and a game misconduct after he caught Perreault up high behind the play midway through the second period.

Jets players Andrew Copp and Nathan Beaulieu helped Perreault off the ice, and Winnipeg later ruled the forward out for the third period with an upper-body injury.

The Jets scored twice on the ensuing power play and tallied another goal 32 seconds after the man advantage concluded.

Winnipeg head coach Paul Maurice told reporters, including The Athletic's Murat Ates, that Perreault was "moving around" postgame and will undergo further testing Monday.

Farabee will have a hearing Monday to answer for the hit, the NHL's Department of Player Safety announced Sunday night.
