The Pittsburgh Steelers took JuJu Smith-Schuster off the injury report after he was a full participant in practice for the second straight day, the team announced Friday.

Despite the positive news, Smith-Schuster is still cautious about his status for the Week 16 matchup against the New York Jets.

"I don't feel 100% but I am going to see what I can do," he said, according to Steelers reporter Teresa Varley. "It depends on what coach says. It's coming along. It's a process. The knee is kind of tricky. You don't really know you are full go until you run your full speed, when you are getting hit, getting tackled. Hopefully I am able to go this week and play."

Smith-Schuster has missed four straight games while battling a concussion and most recently a knee injury. The third-year wideout last played on Nov. 14 against the Cleveland Browns.

"I think at the end of the day, when it comes down to me playing this weekend, it's a mental game," he said. "How strong can I tolerate the pain? It's a process I can take slow. Hopefully I am able to go this week and play with my boys."

The pass-catcher has posted 38 catches, 524 yards, and three touchdowns through 10 games in 2019.

Pittsburgh had its three-game winning streak snapped by the Buffalo Bills in Week 15. However, the 8-6 Steelers still hold the sixth seed in the AFC, ahead of the Tennessee Titans due to the tiebreaker.
