Thunderbird 68.2.2 64 bits windows linux profile sharing

Hello there !
I use Kubuntu 18.04.3 with Thunderbird 68.2.2 x64 from Ubuntu repository as mail client. Everything is working fine here.
The profile folder is located on a NTFS drive.
On Windows side I also use Thunderbird 68.2.2 x64... Automatic update of Thunderbird is disabled.
Thunderbird refuse to open the profile saying that a most recent version of the program has made changes to the profile and it cant be opened with this old version...
Of course the only remaining options are to leave or create a new profile.
I do that smoothly since many years... I do not understand the problem...
Any opinion appreciated !
