The Pittsburgh Steelers ruled out running back James Conner for their pivotal Week 17 game against the Baltimore Ravens with a quad injury.

Conner has battled various injuries throughout the 2019 campaign, and he'll have played in just three of Pittsburgh's final nine regular-season games.

The 24-year-old left last week's loss to the New York Jets in the first half and was unable to return.

After a breakout sophomore campaign, Conner's 2019 regular season ends with just 116 carries for 464 yards and four touchdowns across 10 games. He added 34 catches for 251 receiving yards.

A backfield committee of Jaylen Samuels, Benny Snell, and Kerrith Whyte will likely replace Conner on Sunday.

The Steelers must defeat the Ravens and will need the Tennessee Titans to lose to the Houston Texans in order to qualify for the postseason.
