Ryan Shazier being considered for 'Dancing With the Stars'
Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier could be recruited for the upcoming season of "Dancing With the Stars."
Rob Mills, senior vice president of alternative series, specials, and late-night programming for ABC Entertainment told Variety's Elizabeth Wagmeister that Shazier is among the celebrities being eyed for a spot on the show.
"Two years ago, he was hit on a Monday Night Football game and doctors feared he was paralyzed, and he has learned to walk again. Those are those great stories that are really what 'Dancing With the Stars' is all about - here's somebody who has overcome something, and when you do that, you dance," Mills said. "He would be great."

Shazier hasn't played since suffering a spinal injury against the Cincinnati Bengals during the 2017 season but remains optimistic that he'll make a full recovery.
The 29th season of "Dancing With the Stars" is scheduled to premiere in fall 2020.
