Can't write to Ubuntu samba share?
by Finsfree from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4X5Q4)
I have successfully created a samba share on Ubuntu 18.xx (we'll call it "Workstation01"). I would like to connect to it from another Ubuntu machine (we'll call it "Workstation02")and have full access to the share. Both machines are running Ubuntu 18.xx (not sure about the exact build number).
I have successfully mounted the samba share from Workstation01 to Workstation02. The issue is I can read but I can't write to it.
I have successfully mounted the SAME share to a Window 10 machine and I was able to read and write to it no problem.
Why am I having this issue writing to a samba share using Ubuntu. Do I need to change the owner of the folder or something?
