Gnucash 3.8 is out
by Lenard Spencer from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4X6F9)
Good news and bad news:
Good: Gnucash 3.8 is out. gnucash.org and sourceforge have not yet been updated but I was able to retreive the sources from github. (EDIT: The sourceforce page wasn't updated but sourceforge was where I got the tarball, not github. Sorry for the confusion.)
Bad: It won't build under SW 14.2 unless cmake is upgraded to 3.6 or newer. I was able to build it after upgrading cmake. It builds without a hitch in -current.
I have submitted a bugzilla report on it.
Let me know if you have any other problems.
UPDATE!!
Got a fast reply from on of the gnucash devs, and from his answer I was able to find the problem (a missing file!). After letting him know he was able to fix it and spin a new tarball, and now it builds just fine on 14.2.
