How to obtain the path to a USB device

I have a usb drive that I have formatted as vfat (mkfs.vfat /dev/sdb1). I am not sure of the next step so that I can backup some data using rsync.
As I recall, there is a path to the drive that has media in the path name.
I'm not sure what to do next (the drive does auto-mount and I can see it with dmesg).
Any help is appreciated...
