Pope delivers a literal slap on the wrist, and he's sorry

Pope Francis apologized for slapping the hand of a woman who wouldn't let go of the pontiff's paw outside the Vatican's Nativity scene last night.

"Many times we lose our patience," the Pope said. "I do, too, and I'm sorry for yesterday's bad example."
