Need help with new New Apache webserver setup
by ozstar from LinuxQuestions.org on (#4XDEA)
Have Zorin 15 (Ubuntu 18.04), downloaded Apache and trying to setup a server with access from the net.
I have access from localhost to the Apache html index okay but cannot get access from outside the LAN.
As the Apache servers default is port 80, I changed the Netcomm NF17 router to 8081 (It was also default 80) and added Pt Forward 80 to the servers LAN IP 192.etc.
I rebooted the Router and it does show these changes so all is good there.
I have checked the port.conf and 000-default.conf and they all mention port 80.
I have tried our static IP# 202.xxx.xxx.xxx but it stops at the Router Login Panel.
For some reason I cannot get past this to meet the server.
I have checked the uwf and it is all active and okay.
What else should I look at trying please?
Thanks:confused:
